McMillan Education had already earned a strong reputation in the U.S. as the country’s oldest independent educational consultancy. But as the company set its sights on reaching more students and families worldwide, its international website wasn’t delivering the visibility needed to support that growth. 

The challenge wasn’t just increasing visibility; it was creating a digital experience that could engage audiences across regions and effectively compete in an increasingly crowded international education landscape. 

The Vision

From the beginning, McMillan Education’s founder had a clear goal: increase the company’s visibility and reach more students and families around the world. SEO was a key part of that strategy, helping the company expand its presence in international markets. 

To support that vision, it was clear that the site needed a redesign and strategic repositioning. While the goal was straightforward, achieving it required close collaboration between the marketing and development teams.

The Scopic Solution

Scopic’s development team worked closely with its sister company, Scopic Studios, to ensure the website’s structure, design, content, and technical foundation worked together to support stronger search visibility and international growth. 

Bringing that vision to life involved rebuilding the website in WordPress and making strategic design updates in Figma. Guided by SEO insights, each change was designed to improve usability while strengthening the site’s organic performance. 

As part of the redesign, the team rebuilt key service pages and developed country- and region-specific landing pages tailored to target markets. The marketing team also optimized pages for strategic keywords, implemented GEO to support visibility in AI-powered search results, and created content designed to build topical authority across universities, boarding schools, and admissions pathways. 

Within five months, service pages saw over 80% growth in organic visibility. Overall organic traffic also increased by more than 1,400%, helping McMillan Education reach a significantly larger audience online.
